XAVIER CAPELLAS
Xavier Capellas is a composer from Barcelona, Spain, with experience in film, television, and advertising. He studied Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music and Composition for the Music Industry at the University of Southern California. Capellas has collaborated with notable filmmakers and production companies, including Montxo Armendáriz, Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Eduard Cortés, Mediapro, Bambú, Minoria Absoluta, and Brutal Media.
Recently, he composed for the film "Escape Room, la película" and the TV series "Moebius" (TV3), "Merlí" (TV3), "Merlí: Sapere Aude" (Movistar+), "Kosta" (Orange TV, YLE Finland as "Parattisi"), and "Santiago" (BlancheFilmes and 321features, Portugal). In 2022, Capellas was nominated for a Goya Award for Best Original Song with "Burst out" for the documentary "Postwar Album."
NATASHA ARIZU
Natasha Arizu is a talented pianist and composer from Argentina, currently residing in Barcelona, Spain. She has a diverse musical education, including Classical Training at the Buenos Aires Conservatory, Jazz Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Master's Degree in Music Composition for Audiovisual arts from the ESMUC in Barcelona. Natasha also participated in the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop at New York University.
As a professional musician, Natasha is engaged in live performances and composition for various projects, such as theatre, audio branding, and film. She won the SGAE Nova Autoria Award for the best original soundtrack at the Sitges International Film Festival. Additionally, she received a nomination for the Goya Awards 2024 for her work in "El maestro que prometió el mar."
GERARD PASTOR
Gerard Pastor, hailing from Barcelona, is a skilled film scoring composer, orchestra conductor, and pianist. He studied under masters like Arnau Bataller and Jordi Mora. Gerard has composed music for films, video games, theme parks, and immersive shows. Notable collaborations include working with Michael Nyman on "The Mexican Suitcase," and François Bergeron on the music for the Furius Baco coaster at Port Aventura.
Gerard has received over 20 awards, including Best Score at the Idyllwild International Film Festival for "Sonata for Cello" and Best Score at Cinespaña Toulouse for "Jean-François and the Meaning of Life." He composed the score for "Mamma qui comando io," directed by Federico Moccia. As a conductor, he has recorded numerous film scores and performed several concerts with music from Marvel and DC movies.
ANNA CAMPMANY
Anna Campmany is an award-winning composer and lyric soprano from Barcelona, Spain. She has received recognition for her choral compositions, including at the International Competition of Choral Composition of the Orfeó Català. In recent years, she has received numerous commissions for her work, including a cantata for the "Cantagran" project at L'Auditori and compositions for the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Música, the Secretariat of Children's Choirs of Catalonia, and the Bruckner Barcelona Choir.
Campmany has also performed as a soloist at prestigious venues such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Palau de la Música, and she is active in the world of choral music, performing with the World Youth Choir and the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Música. In addition to her work in music, Campmany is also an accomplished illustrator and writer.
YULIA PROTASOVA
Yulia Protasova is a Ukrainian pianist and composer currently residing in Barcelona, Spain. She began her career as a classical pianist in Ukraine, obtained her Undergraduate Degree in Valencia, and later graduated from the Conservatory of Music of Catalunya with a Master's in Audiovisual Composition.
In 2019, she participated in an international GEMS course, receiving classes from Hollywood composers Christopher Young, Garry Schyman, and Pete Anthony. During this time, she recorded her composition “Missouri Sky” with Mad4Strings Orchestra in Madrid. In 2021, she released her first LP “Themes for Absent Pictures” for solo piano, followed by an electronic music EP with DJ Lucia Gea, “How to Name Colors,” in 2022.
As of 2023, Yulia worked with acclaimed film composer Liam Bates, writing music for short films and animations. She composed music for an episode of “Una mà de contes” on TV3, dubbing it into Ukrainian. Her scores for the short films “De - Sastre” and “Beauty” were recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra in 2023. This year, she has written scores for short films featured in various film festivals around the country.
